01Purchases
Every product (a domain lookup, a translation, a conversion, a rendering) is a one-time
purchase at the price quoted in the HTTP 402 response, settled through the x402 protocol. A
request that cannot run is refused before payment settles and costs nothing. A purchase is
delivered when the answer is returned in the paid response; from then on it is not refundable
at these prices. An answer that is incomplete because a public source did not respond (a
registry, a name server, a web server) says so in its errors field and was
delivered as described. A purchase whose payment fails to settle delivers nothing.
02What the service does, and does not do
Scribe reads public protocols and public pages, converts documents you supply or name, translates text you supply, and renders pages. It never logs in, fills forms, solves CAPTCHAs, stores credentials, bypasses access controls, or acts on your behalf. What you do with an answer is your responsibility, and everything in an answer that came from a page, a document, or a registry is third party data to be treated as such. Translations are model output; review them before relying on them where accuracy matters. The service is provided as-is, with no warranty of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a purpose. Liability for any purchase is limited to the price paid for it.
03Data and retention
There are no accounts and no personal data is collected. Nothing a customer sends (a name, a text, a document, a URL, HTML) is stored; each request is answered and forgotten. Daily counters of requests per route remain, with no addresses, bodies, or identifiers. Translations and renderings pass through third party providers under their own terms; the text of a translation is sent to the model provider and the URL or HTML of a rendering to the browser provider, and Scribe keeps neither.
04Conduct toward the sites we fetch
Fetches identify themselves as ScribeFetch/1.0 (+https://scribe.vimabrosta.com/bot), are read-only, reach only public addresses
on standard ports, follow at most four redirects, and read at most 2MB. Site owners may opt out
with one email to contact@vimabrosta.com; blocks are honored promptly. The full
policy is at /bot.
05Acceptable use
Do not use Scribe to overload a site, to fetch or convert content you have no right to access, to translate or render material whose use would break a law that applies to you, or to probe infrastructure that is not yours. We may refuse or block hosts or payers to protect the sites we fetch, our providers, or the service itself.
06Changes and contact
These terms may change; the effective date above moves when they do, and the changelog records it. Questions, opt-out requests, and security reports go to contact@vimabrosta.com. The security contact is also published at /.well-known/security.txt.
